Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a copywriter?
To get your point across clearly without jargon…
To keep attention amongst all the distractions…
To use storytelling and persuasion to better convert leads into customers…
I'm confident to write on your behalf because I've taught English at university, written for publications with 300k readers, and websites with 25k plus monthly impressions.
When it comes to persuasion, I studied psychology and I've also taught it at colleges. I've read books on both marketing techniques and psychological persuasion techniques, largely so that my writing doesn't sound like 'hard sell' and so I can persuade like a friend instead.
Most clients I have are very good at passionately talking about their business. If I rewrite something, I promise to keep that passion and enthusiasm intact because it can work wonders for the reader. I've also helped lots of clients whose first language isn't English, and everyone has been happy with the results.
What information will you need from me?
I have a questionnaire that helps clients think about how they'd like their project to look and how they'd like their reader to feel. We can also think about your business goals and plan the format and content to meet those goals. A potential goal might be encouraging readers to feel confident about a service or click to buy a product.

I'm happy to discuss your project with you, or show you some examples.
I've been let down by freelancers before...
I've also used freelancers for tasks other than writing, so I know the disappointment when you get let down. If I don't think I'm a good fit for your project, I'll tell you. If something unexpected happens, I'll let you know asap. Other than that, you can expect your work completed by deadline.
Do you understand my industry?
If it's music, psychology or education then yes. Otherwise, then no. But that doesn't have to be a setback as clients often want complicated things explained to an audience who aren't technical. So, if I know little about your industry that can be an advantage because I'll be asking myself the same questions a lot of your customers and clients will be asking when they first come across your product, and can explain it clearly to them.
Can you do SEO?
I can make your content SEO friendly and I'll definitely avoid the pitfalls that make the robot readers look elsewhere when scanning results. But forget the bots, one of the most important things about SEO is to make the content engaging so that the human reader doesn't switch off, and that's also what I do.
